As a Customer Service Officer, you will provide customers with positive service experiences through quality and efficient responses to their enquiries, issues, requests and applications via the Council's Call Centre, Customer Service Centres and electronic contacts.

Primarily based in Caboolture but rostered to work from our Customer Service Centres at Strathpine and Redcliffe as required to support service delivery.

  • Compile requests for action by Council departments, process applications and complete financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Council and Customer Services policies, practices, procedures and service standards.

You bring well-developed time management skills and the ability to work in a structured work environment while still adapting to change, managing conflicting priorities and deadlines with ease, while maintaining a strong focus on working as part of a team and the broader organisation.

You have experience working with complex information, solving problems and resolving conflict, and previous Contact Centre experience is desirable but not essential.

What is on offer:

  • Permanent Full-time roles with the opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight after induction.
  • Great work hours with shifts between 8.15am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
  • The opportunity to work from home in a hybrid environment, after a six-month period
  • Comprehensive product and systems training with ongoing upskilling and development
  • Regular feedback and coaching so you can achieve your professional and personal goals
  • A commencement date of Monday, 1 September or Monday, 13 October (two induction groups)
  • An attractive commencement salary of $73,058 pa + 12% super

Please note that, due to the nature of the role, you may be required to work outside of the business hours listed above in order to support the community during significant events such as adverse weather, as needed.

  • Advance your skills and career through our Study, Training And Research Scheme (STARS).
  • Make your pay go further with salary packaging options on novated leases, superannuation payments, smartphones and devices.
  • Prioritise your health and wellbeing with discounted health insurance, free annual flu vaccinations and our Fitness Passport Program.
  • Get support when you and your family need it most with our 24/7 confidential counselling service and Mates in Construction program.
  • Our offices have local parking and are close to public transport networks, making for an easy commute.
