Intro Recruitment is currently working with a major electrical utilities company who is looking for experienced HV electricians to work on substation projects throughout Queensland.

Primary purpose of these roles is to undertake the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of high voltage substation equipment and systems.

It is essential to have previous substation experience for these roles, it will be desirable to have Powerlink inductions.

The role is FIFO/DIDO from Brisbane, you can be based anywhere but have to make your own way to Brisbane for mobilisation.

The successful candidates will have:

• Relevant Trade Qualification
• Powerlink Induction (Desirable)
• CPR/LVR
• Australian citizen/permanent resident/have full working rights in Australia
• Electrical License
• Greenfields Experience (Must Have)
• HV Substation Experience (Must Have)
• HV and LV Switch rooms
• HV Control rooms
• Installation of HV Plant, Cable Ladder, Cable tray and conduits
• Construction Testing of new cables (Insulation Resistance and Point- to- Point)
• Installation of electrical equipment, pulling-in electrical control / supply cables, terminating switchboards, control rooms and switch rooms
• Testing of cables and RCD’s
• Testing of earth grids, cables and RCD’s (IR, VLF and Point –to – point)
• Commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Quality control documentation
