Big River Pork is one of Australia’s leading pork processing plants, based at Murray Bridge, one hour from Adelaide. We employ approximately 350 workers, currently processing around 17,000 pigs per week. We have an excellent reputation for producing high quality pork products for our domestic national retail partners and international customers.

Exciting opportunities exist for experienced Skilled Meat Workers in the boning room:

Boner

• Breaking Pork into primal cuts
• Debone Pork (Legs, Shoulders, Middles)

Roster: 4-days, Monday to Friday

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in the meat industry.
• Must be able to be positively assessed by a MINTRAC registered assessor as meeting the minimum skill level commensurate with a AQF Certificate III.
• Demonstrate knife skills, and knife handling in a safe manner
• Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High focus & attention to detail
• Experience in the meat industry, pork preferred
• Physically fit, self-driven, committed and highly capable
• Keen attitude to work, reliability, and punctuality
• Commitment to good hygiene practices, health and food safety quality
