Apex Sentinel (Apex) is a specialist risk advisory firm with a sharp focus on protecting sovereign capability from foreign interference, malign competitor behaviour, and transnational organised crime. Our threat-led approach to risk analysis, intelligence, and investigations enables us to detect and address complex risks, especially those that often remain hidden in plain sight.

We are currently seeking Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analysts to join full-time, embedded roles within existing teams. These are client-facing positions based on-site in Canberra during standard business hours.

The Role

You will apply contemporary open source intelligence methods to help identify and assess emerging threats and risks relevant to national security. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver products that directly inform and support decision makers.

These roles require initiative, discretion, and the ability to operate with minimal direction, particularly within ambiguous environments.

Requirements

· You have a current and valid, Top Secret Positive Vetted security clearance (essential)

· You have contemporary experience in open source intelligence methods and analysis (essential)

· You are based in Canberra (essential)

· You can work within, or if necessary, manage multi-disciplinary teams (essential)

· You have previous (5-8 years) experience within an Australian Government Department (essential)

· You have previous (5-8 years) experience within the Department of Defence, or wider National Security scoped Government Departments (desirable)

Pay and Conditions

· Pending your role and experience, a commencing salary bracket of $130k - $160k (inclusive of super) is offered

· A fixed-term employment contract is the preferred method engagement.
