The MAMS Group is currently seeking a multi-skilled, enthusiastic, and physically fit truck driver to join our Cairns-based team in a casual or relief capacity.

In the Cairns region, MAMS operates hook-lift trucks servicing customer skip bins six days a week across Edmonton, Gordonvale, Mareeba, Atherton, Innisfail, and Mossman. We are looking for a reliable and motivated driver to provide relief coverage when our regular team members are on leave. The workload will vary—some weeks may involve just one day of work, while others may offer three or four days. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physically active work but is not seeking full-time hours.

Key Requirements:

HR Truck Licence and proven experience as a heavy vehicle truck driver

Ability to work independently and represent MAMS Group with professionalism, honesty, and integrity

Strong commitment to safety and compliance with NHVR regulations and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements

Able to carry out manual handling tasks

High level of communication – both written and verbal

Flexibility and availability at short notice
