Sprinkler Fitter – Transition into Fire Service Industry

Guardian Safety Solutions is a proudly Australian-owned business specialising in fire and electrical compliance across commercial, industrial, healthcare and education sites. With our head office based in Newcastle and a national footprint, we’re known for delivering reliable, down-to-earth service backed by genuine expertise.

We’re on the lookout for a new qualified sprinkler fitter who’s got solid experience in sprinkler system construction and is looking to do some construction but also transition into the fire service and maintenance side of the industry, with some construction jobs.

🔎 What the Role Involves

You’ll work across a wide range of sites conducting inspections, testing, and servicing of:

Sprinkler systems & pump sets

Portable fire extinguishers

Fire hose reels & hydrants

Emergency and exit lighting

Fire panels & associated systems (basic inspections only)

You’ll also be involved in troubleshooting, minor repairs, system upgrades, and reporting via our digital platform (Uptick – don’t worry, we’ll train you).

You’re probably a sprinkler fitter currently working in construction, looking for:

To hit the ground running, you’ll need:

Current sprinkler fitting qualifications (Cert III in Fire Protection or equivalent)

Driver’s licence

A good attitude, willingness to learn, and comfort dealing with clients on-site

A strong focus on safety and doing the job properly

Bonus points if you’ve already got experience in extinguishers or exit lights – but not essential
