About the Role:
As a Motor Mechanic at Morinda Motors, you will carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of light vehicles. You will work with a supportive and professional team that values precision, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manual methods and computerised diagnostic tools.
Dismantle and remove engines, transmissions, and other components to inspect for damage or wear.
Repair and replace worn or faulty parts following service manuals and manufacturer guidelines.
Reassemble mechanical systems and components after repairs to restore proper function.
Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
Test and adjust repaired components to ensure proper vehicle performance.
Use diagnostic equipment to interpret fault codes and resolve system issues.
Follow service manuals and technical specs for all repairs and maintenance tasks.
Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and identify any required repairs.
Maintain accurate service records for all work performed.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (minimum requirement)
Qualifications: Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (highly regarded / preferred)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a motor mechanic in Australia.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Annual salary: $77,000 + Superannuation
