Your Role:
As a Drainage Maintenance Worker, you’ll provide support with the cleaning and maintenance of drainage systems throughout a capital city; operating a combination eductor and jetting truck with a fellow operator on gullies, manholes and gross pollutant traps; periodic maintenance of roads and footpaths; as well as provision of a high quality of customer service to internal and external customers. Reporting to the Team Leader Maintenance, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice on areas of expertise to staff, clients, suppliers and the public and liaise with line management as required;
- Coordinate, set priorities and lead work groups;
- Install new drainage assets including manhole covers and gully grates with minimal supervision; and
- Ensure safe and compliant work practices in accordance with Western Australian Work Health and Safety legislation as well as the City’s safe systems of work.
