GREENPEACE AUSTRALIA PACIFIC
Greenpeace is a global environmental organisation dedicated to securing a world capable of nurturing life in all of its magnificent diversity. We are fully independent, accepting no funding from any government or business.
Founded in 1971, Greenpeace now operates as 26 independent national/regional organisations in over 55 countries, making it collectively one of the largest environmental networks on Earth. At Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), we're not just a team; we're a movement. By joining us, you're not just taking a job – you're seizing an opportunity to make a real-world difference.
This is a full time, permanent position open to candidates across Australia.
THE TEAM
Our Data & Engineering team is a close-knit crew of technology experts, scattered across the country but united in purpose. We embrace a hybrid work model, allowing autonomy with the ability to unite for monumental projects when needed. Down-to-earth and collaborative, we're all about making things happen.
The MarTech Platforms Lead position will work closely with amazing colleagues from across the entire organisation. Depending on the project, this role ensures platforms are strategically governed, effectively integrated, and consistently leveraged by internal teams.
In collaboration with both internal talent and external vendor support as required you will help enable supporter journeys and digital campaigns designed to reach millions of people and change the future for the better.
THE ROLE
As MarTech Platforms Lead, you’ll take the reins of our supporter-facing digital platforms—HubSpot, DoGooder, Stripe, PayPal, Greenpeace.org.au, and more—ensuring they’re well-configured, integrated, and optimised to enable powerful, scalable, and insight-driven supporter journeys.
From petitions to donations, SMS to email, your work will help power the digital journeys that drive supporter actions, donations, and impact for environmental change.
Whilst this position will play a strategic role within the organisation, it is also expected to be technically hands-on, particularly in areas such as journey configuration and data integration, where vendor support may require internal follow-up or system access.
Some of the core responsibilities of the role will include:
- Platform Strategy & Governance: Own the configuration, performance, and usability of supporter platforms like HubSpot and DoGooder. Keep journeys consistent, data flowing, and forms frictionless.
- Journey Enablement: Equip fundraisers and campaigners with the tools and templates they need to launch beautiful, high-performing digital journeys—without reinventing the wheel.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate sprint planning and support ticketing with vendors and service partners. You’ll own the roadmap and keep things running smoothly.
- Data & Integration Quality: Ensure real-time, accurate data sync between platforms and Salesforce CRM. Troubleshoot mapping issues, and champion clean, compliant data across journeys.
- Analytics & Insights: Set up and manage analytics tools like GA and Mixpanel. Identify drop-offs, drive improvements, and support journey optimisation.
- Incident & Service Delivery: From bug fixes to template launches, you’ll oversee timely rollouts, resolve issues, and continuously improve the digital engagement tech stack.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will have:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in MarTech operations, digital automation, or platform ownership
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot, DoGooder, and web CMS platforms such as WordPress or Drupal
- Experience integrating MarTech platforms with Salesforce or similar CRMs, including sync logic, field mapping, and troubleshooting data flows
- Strong analytics skills, with hands-on experience in GA4, Mixpanel, or similar tools
- Knowledge of digital supporter journeys and how to use automation to drive conversion, loyalty, and impact
- Experience working with vendors and managing service SLAs across marketing and digital platforms
- Strong documentation and training skills to support internal enablement
We are looking for someone with a values-driven mindset and a passion for climate action, social justice, and people-powered change. If you have experience working across fundraising, campaign, or supporter engagement teams—ideally in the nonprofit or advocacy space we would love to hear from you!
We recognise that sometimes the right person for a job is based on personal qualities and not just qualifications. If you are not sure whether you are qualified, we would strongly encourage you to make an inquiry or go ahead and apply—we like to think laterally about all our appointments.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- A role with one of the most well-known brands in the environmental NGO space, and the strength of the 50 years of Greenpeace behind you;
- A great work-life balance including 35 hour work week, integrity framework and generous leave conditions (including an additional week of paid leave between Christmas and New Years);
- Genuine flexible working conditions including remote work or hybrid working arrangements;
- An incredible combined head office and warehouse space in Rosebery, Sydney. Plus, co-working spaces in Melbourne and Perth;
- A workplace culture that values inclusivity, belonging and diversity; and
- An annual health allowance
Annual full-time salary: $134,853.30 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
