Chelona Engineering is seeking an experienced and reliable Boilermaker to join our team at a coal mine site near Middlemount in the Bowen Basin. This position will involve completing CHPP (Coal Handling Preparation Plant) repairs and structural maintenance in line with site requirements.

4/2 - 4/4 roster every weekend home and every second weekend long weekend.

$$$$$$$$2200.00 plus in hand weekly pay $$$$$$$$$

Transport with Chelona vehicle to camp and return provided.

You may also be required to assist with:

Breakdown support

Lubrication tasks

General maintenance duties within the CHPP area

Key Responsibilities:

Perform steel fabrication, welding, and repairs to CHPP structures and equipment

Read and interpret repair scopes, work orders, and drawings

Assist with mechanical breakdown response and lubing duties as directed

Operate safely and in compliance with the mine’s SHMS and SOPs

Work collaboratively with site supervisors and Chelona’s support team

Requirements:

Australian-recognised Boilermaker Trade Certificate

Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)

Standard 11 (Surface) Induction – current

Current Driver’s Licence

Experience working in coal mine CHPP environments

Strong understanding of safe work practices

Desirable (but not essential):

Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets

Forklift or EWP licence

Previous Middlemount or Bowen Basin site experience
