Director of Service Delivery (Housing, Homelessness and Domestic Violence)
Lead integrated housing and homelessness services across crisis, transitional, affordable housing, and domestic and family violence programs.
Are you passionate about leading a high-performing team to achieve meaningful outcomes for vulnerable clients? This strategic leadership role oversees a multidisciplinary unit delivering best-practice case management and tenancy support to people experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence, and intersectional disadvantage. Champion service excellence, foster collaboration, and drive improved housing, safety, and wellbeing outcomes for those most in need.
About YWCA Canberra
YWCA Canberra is a respected feminist, not-for-profit community organisation which has been providing community services and representing women’s issues in the Canberra community since its establishment in 1929. Today, we provide leading and innovative services to women and the broader Canberra community in the areas of children’s services, community services, housing, youth services, personal and professional training, and women’s leadership.
As a values-based organisation, and the only Canberra based Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (WGEA), YWCA Canberra is a great place to work. We have a strong track record in building long-term, sustainable careers with excellent conditions (including charitable salary sacrificing and above award salaries) together with a supportive work environment for all employees to thrive.
About the Role
We are seeking an inspired and strategic Director of Service Delivery (Housing, Homelessness and Domestic Violence) to lead trauma-informed, gender-responsive services across the housing continuum from crisis and transitional accommodation to long-term affordable housing.

This includes services for older women, single men, people with uncertain visa status, diverse families, child-focused support, outreach, advocacy, community development, tenancy and property management, and violence prevention.
You’ll provide hands-on leadership to ensure collaborative, innovative, and client-centred service delivery. Supporting four program leaders, you’ll drive agile and responsive operations, foster strong staff engagement, and deliver meaningful outcomes for service users. Passionate about creating a culture that celebrates success and values impact, you will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering best-practice case management and tenancy support. This role champions service excellence, staff leadership, and improved housing, safety, and wellbeing outcomes for those most in need.

Champion a culture of safety, collaboration, reflective practice, and trauma- informed care.
Represent YWCA Canberra in tenancy-related matters, including ACAT proceedings.
Support and supervise a high performing, engaged frontline team.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, human services, or management (minimum Diploma in Community Services with extensive experience considered).
Proven senior leadership experience in housing, homelessness, or domestic violence services.
At least five years’ experience supporting vulnerable individuals within a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework.
