What you'll be doing
In this role you’ll be supporting patients with diabetes across inpatient and outpatient services, while working within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
- Assessing patients and triaging for rapid access care
- Educating individuals on diabetes self-management
- Collaborating with integrated care teams
- Delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care

Essential Criteria:
Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, AHPRA, as a Registered Nurse Division 1.
Selection Criteria:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, AHPRA, as a Registered Nurse Division 1
- Recent experience in the acute hospital setting and demonstrated excellent clinical skills in diabetes management
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, independently and within a collaborative team environment, whilst prioritising and managing own workload
- Demonstrated effective communication with patients, nursing, medical and allied health clinicians
- Demonstrated ability to ensure patients, carers and families are well informed, engaged and confident about their care and treatment, within the scope of a registered nurse/midwife
- Demonstrated adult learning approach
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability, prioritisation and communication skills while effectively following directions
