About the Role
Join a dynamic and forward-thinking Colorectal Unit where your passion for clinical excellence, education and research will be highly valued. In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Head of Unit and senior consultant staff, actively contributing to ward rounds, covering casual fellow shifts, and supporting leave coverage. You'll become an integral part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, fostering strong relationships with consultants and contributing to optimal patient care.
This position also offers the exciting opportunity to initiate and develop your own research projects, with support to undertake a higher degree in collaboration with the unit. In addition to your clinical duties, you’ll play a key role in the supervision and teaching of interns and medical students—making this an ideal role for someone looking to advance both their academic and clinical career in a supportive and high-performing environment.
About You
You are a skilled and compassionate medical professional with a strong surgical background, ready to contribute effectively within a busy colorectal unit. You communicate clearly, lead teams with confidence, and build respectful relationships with patients and colleagues alike.
Qualified and Experienced – MBBS or equivalent, with clinical and surgical experience suited to the colorectal fellow role.
Strong Leadership & Communication – Proven ability to supervise staff, coordinate medical services, and communicate effectively in diverse settings.
Patient-Focused Approach – Demonstrates empathy, respect, and openness while promoting health and institutional goals.
Well-Informed & Knowledgeable – Understands hospital systems, policies, and safety principles relevant to a large healthcare setting.
