Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation shaping the future of aged care in Australia. Founded in October 2021 under the Australian Government’s aged care workforce strategy, A Matter of Care, ARIIA was born to respond to the urgent challenges of our evolving aged care industry. ARIIA's mission is to equip the aged care sector with the knowledge and skills to implement evidence-based practices and new technologies.

ARIIA is seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to join our team as a Research Officer located at Tonsley, South Australia.

In this role, you’ll help shape a new specialist area within the ARIIA Knowledge Implementation Hub, curating culturally safe, evidence-informed resources to support aged care workforce development. You’ll work closely with our Information Specialist, program staff and First Nations Governance Group to identify examples of best-practice Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander aged care and contribute to meaningful change in workforce development and service delivery.

About you:

Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Interest in aged care, First Nations health, or community development

Demonstrated experience working with academic literature, grey literature and non-traditional information sources.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.

Willingness to learn and contribute to culturally safe and respectful research practices.

Experience developing culturally safe, audience-appropriate online content is highly desirable.

Experience working with Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation service providers is desirable.
