About the role

Dubbo RSL Memorial Club Group is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our grounds team. As an Apprentice Greenkeeper, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of our Bowling Greens and surrounding landscaped areas at Sporties . This is a full-time role based in Dubbo, NSW. The start date is flexible—either immediately or from November 2025 - January 2026.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the mowing, edging, and trimming of the bowling greens and surrounding areas

Helping with the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals to maintain the health and appearance of the turf

Participating in irrigation and watering

Undertaking various grounds maintenance tasks, clearing debris, and minor repairs

Gaining hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of grounds equipment and machinery

Completing an apprenticeship program to obtain a formal qualification in Greenkeeping (Sports Turf Management). Program is 4 years.

What we're looking for

A genuine interest and passion for horticulture, landscaping, or grounds maintenance

Strong physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

A willingness to learn and develop new skills through the apprenticeship program

A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to follow instructions

Valid Australian driver's licence (minimum provisional) required for operating machinery

Must have the right to work in Australia and be eligible for apprenticeship programs
