About the role
Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for full and part-time permanent roles within the Ambulatory & Outpatient Service. The successful candidates will have strong surgical skills and experience and be available to work Monday to Friday day shifts.
The Ambulatory Care & Outpatient Service offers exceptional individualised care and is committed to enhancing the patient experience by providing education, information and support that is evidence based.
Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The Ambulatory Care & Outpatient Clinics provide a variety of outpatient services (including single course treatment and ongoing complex care) for patients to achieve optimal health management. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll work across a variety of procedural and non-procedural clinics, including the Referral Management Centre. You’ll play a key role in supporting patients to achieve optimal health outcomes through high-quality, personalised care.
About you
To be considered suitable for this role you must have:
- Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions) with 3+ years’ experience working within an adult hospital environment
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in nursing practice
- Experience in Plastics and ENT specialties, including negative pressure dressings (acute plastics experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues, within professional and ethical boundaries
- Strong time management and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Confidence using electronic systems such as patient information systems, procedural booking tools, Outlook, and Microsoft Excel
