We are looking for talented and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses who have experience in the settings of an Acute Ward and Residential Aged Care to join our team in the beautiful Great Southern region of Western Great Southern – Denmark Health Service and Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service (Mount Barker).

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months. Position Profile: This role provides nursing care for allocated patients within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse.

Area Profile: At the heart of the Western Lower Great Southern region is Plantagenet (Mount Barker), located 50 km north of Albany and surrounded by prosperous farming lands, amazing wineries, quaint tea rooms and beautiful restaurants. The Mount Barker Heritage Trail showcases the regions’ natural and cultural heritage. The coastal town of Denmark boasts magnificent forests with walking trails, world class white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. The Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service, together with the Denmark Health Service pride themselves on prioritising the professional development of their nursing staff, providing ample opportunities to train and upskill in various nursing fields to keep their employees motivated, stimulated and skilled.

Denmark Health Service is a Multipurpose Service, with a total of 21 beds: 6 acute medical beds, 1 respite and 14 residential aged care beds. The health facility has 24-hour emergency care with a 3 bay emergency department.

Plantagenet Cranbrook Health Service is a Multipurpose Service with a total of 49 beds: 10 acute medical beds, 1 respite and 38 residential aged care beds. The health facility has 24-hour emergency care with a 3 bay emergency department.

Medical governance is provided at both Health Services by local GP’s, with additional support provided by WACHS emergency and inpatient telehealth services.
