headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, with Each as a leading agency since 2006. We provide early intervention mental health services to 12-25-year-olds across Australia, offering support through over 145 communities, online and phone counselling, vocational services, and schools.
Job Description
- 8-day fortnight (including every second Saturday from 9am-3pm)
- Fixed Term until July 2026
- Based at Narre Warren and Pakenham on the lands of the Bunurong & Wurundjeri People
- $44 p/hr + 12% Super + Salary Packaging up to $18,550

At Each, our headspace Casey Cardinia team is the frontline for young people aged 12–25 navigating mild to moderate mental health challenges. We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Intake & Brief Intervention Clinician to deliver fast, responsive care – using single-session and brief therapy models to create a safe, immediate pathway to recovery.
Your role. Your impact.
In this diverse and rewarding role, you’ll work closely with young people and their families to assess needs, provide therapeutic support, and connect them with the right resources. Whether it’s a one-off session or part of a short-term plan, your interventions will help create real momentum in a young person’s mental health journey.
Reporting to the Intake & Brief Intervention Team Leader, you’ll:
- Complete intake assessments and determine the most appropriate support pathways
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions (in-person or via telehealth)
- Engage with families and carers as appropriate in treatment planning
- Work every second Saturday at Narre Warren as part of a 8-day fortnight
- Collaborate across the team and contribute to community engagement activities
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with reporting requirements
Who we’re looking for
You’re a practical, approachable, and capable clinician with:
- A minimum Bachelor qualification in Youth Work, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, or a related field
- Experience working with young people experiencing early-stage mental health presentations
- Clinical skills in brief interventions, single-session work, and family-inclusive practice
- Confidence working in fast-paced environments, including with crisis presentations
- A current driver’s licence and relevant working with children checks

- Experience working in headspace or similar youth services
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and diverse youth needs
- Capacity to deliver care flexibly, including offsite and via telehealth
