QCDS is looking for a Small Engine Mechanic to join our small team based at Archerfield.

What you'll need to succeed

• A qualification in mechanical repairs
• Ability to undertake manual physical work
• Punctual, reliable, and energetic
• Manual driver’s license
• Advanced welding skills and advantage
• Experience with concrete sawing & drilling equipment preferred but not essential

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Record tool & equipment movements in and out of stores
• Perform and record pre-deployment checks
• Plant and equipment repairs and regular servicing and maintenance
• Coordinate repairs and servicing with our suppliers
• Issue and record tools & equipment provided to field staff
• Wash and clean plant & equipment
• Purchasing parts and consumables
• Perform regular inventory stock manifests
• Perform and record inventories of all service vehicles
• General workshop housekeeping

Requirements of the position

Previous workshop experience

• Mobile plant equipment knowledge (advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and work unsupervised in a time critical environment
• Demonstrate competency in the safe and correct use of all workshop equipment
• Ability to comply with the company's WH&S policies and procedures
• Be able to work as a critical member of a small team
