HR Business Partner - FIFO - 6 month contract

Hays has partnered with an international mining company who are focused on producing base metals like copper and zinc.

Your new role

As a pivotal member of the team, you will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Lead HR projects on diversity, inclusion, change management, and engagement.
• Manage employee grievances and discipline per company standards and legislation.
• Investigate and resolve employee complaints fairly and promptly.
• Assist with performance management, including setting SMART objectives and appraising development.
• Support HR processes like performance reviews, remuneration, budget planning, and cost reviews.
• Collaborate with HR teams at various sites.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Lead and motivate teams to achieve business targets.
• Apply analytical skills to identify and implement improvements.
• Understand the Industrial Relations framework and legislation.
• Exhibit strong planning, organisational skills, and self-management.
• Build rapport across departments and employee levels.
• Prioritise activities based on stakeholder needs.
• Drive and implement effective change.
• Apply contemporary HR principles and practices.
• Demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
• Understand HR disciplines and IR/ER practices.

What you'll need to succeed

• HR Business Partner experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinated and supported various HR projects.
• Interpreted and negotiated Enterprise Agreements.
• Liaised with unions and third-party organisations.
• Familiar with HR software like PageUp and SAP.
• Experience working in industries such as oil, gas, construction, mining is preferred but not a must-have.
