Essential Requirements:

Registered Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

A minimum of 12 months' experience working in aged care/hospital/community care as an RN;

Demonstrated experience in residential aged care nursing with particular emphasis on clinical assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and medications administration;

Proven leadership ability;

Demonstrated competencies in operational planning, management information systems and processes, clinical staff training and assessment;

Ability to coordinate in a multi-skilled team environment and to communicate effectively with management, staff, and stakeholders, including medical and allied health professionals;

Time management skills and an ability to logically prioritise varying work demands;

Understanding of the ageing process and a commitment to advocate for older people in residential care;

Desirable:

Relevant qualifications in gerontology, dementia, palliative care;

Gerontological Nursing experience;

Postgraduate certificate in a relevant clinical field
