About the role

Coating Specialists Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Abrasive Blaster to join our team in Stapylton, Queensland. As an Abrasive Blaster, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of surfaces for coating, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time position after the initial probation period.

What you'll be doing

Performing abrasive blasting on a variety of surfaces to remove old coatings, rust and contaminants

Carefully operating blasting equipment to achieve the required surface profile and cleanliness

Carrying out quality checks and inspections to ensure work meets industry standards

Maintaining a clean and organised work area, including the proper storage and care of equipment

Collaborating with the wider team to support the successful delivery of coating projects

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Abrasive Blaster, with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques

Proficiency in the use of abrasive blasting equipment, including air compressors, blast pots and nozzles

Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving high-quality results

Good physical fitness and stamina to perform the manual aspects of the role

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
