About Recover Radiology

Recover Radiology is a newly established diagnostic imaging clinic opening in October 2025 in Morphett Vale. We aim to deliver high-quality, patient centered imaging services to the local community, with a strong focus on Workcover patients, general practice, and allied health referrals. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sonographer to join our founding team. This role will suit someone who is confident in performing general diagnostic ultrasound and is passionate about quality imaging, patient care, and contributing to a high-performing clinical team.

You will work closely with radiologists, referring clinicians, and fellow imaging staff to ensure accurate, efficient, and empathetic diagnostic services. This is a hands-on clinical role with opportunities to contribute to mentoring, leadership, and the growth of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality ultrasound scans across core modalities including general, abdominal, obstetric / gynecologic, MSK, and vascular.

Apply diagnostic reasoning in complex and advanced exams, demonstrating accuracy and consistency in imaging.

Manage appointment workflows efficiently and independently, maintaining a strong focus on time management and patient care.

Escalate priority or urgency of findings to radiologists or other health professionals when required.

Triages exams to maximise workflow and ensure timely diagnosis.

Mentor junior sonographers or students as required, supporting their clinical development.

Maintain compliance with ASAR CPD requirements and participate in ongoing professional development.

Communicate effectively with patients and clinical teams, providing clear explanations, clinical context, and support.

Demonstrate leadership in ultrasound matters, including contributing to quality assurance and clinical decision-making.

Support innovation and continuous improvement in sonography protocols, imaging practices, and patient care.

Selection Criteria

Registration with ASAR as an Accredited Medical Sonographer.

Holds a recognised qualification in medical sonography.

Minimum 2 years of independent scanning experience across core modalities (more highly experienced applicants welcomed).

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills; able to work independently and manage a varied caseload.

Demonstrated ability to mentor or support clinical education and team collaboration.

Triaging experience and ability to prioritise workflow in a clinical setting.

Committed to excellence in patient care and effective communication.

Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

High level of accountability and initiative within a clinical environment.
