About the role

NAK Building Group PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team in Devonport, Tasmania. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our construction projects and ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for a diverse range of carpentry and cabinet making tasks, working closely with our skilled team to bring our clients' visions to life.

What you'll be doing

Interpreting architectural drawings and plans to create high-quality carpentry work

Constructing and installing structural and decorative woodwork, such as framing, flooring, cabinetry, and trim

Performing maintenance and repair work on existing structures and fittings

Collaborating with the construction team to ensure efficient and timely project completion

Adhering to all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

Formal carpentry or cabinet making qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry

Minimum 1-5 years' experience as a Carpenter, preferably in the construction industry

Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients

Current driver's licence and reliable transportation
