Our client, a major Australian player, is looking for a talented Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join their dynamic Finance team on a long term two year contract. This unique opportunity offers a hybrid role, blending Financial Planning & Analysis, commercial analytics, and group consolidation responsibilities, giving you an unmatched level of strategic exposure and professional development.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to make an impact at the core of a major organisation. You’ll partner directly with senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring strategic objectives are met through insightful analysis, accurate forecasting, and robust financial modelling.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with senior management to prepare strategic financial analyses and inform decision-making on key business initiatives.
- Lead the development and management of comprehensive FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and revenue projections.
- Preparation of businesses cases to support strategic initiatives.
- Oversee group consolidation activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions, EBITDA forecasts, and strategic scenario analyses.
- Deliver insightful, actionable analysis and clearly communicate recommendations to executive-level stakeholders, influencing critical business outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, promoting financial discipline and operational efficiency throughout the organisation.
Your Skills and Experience:
We’re looking for a driven, commercially minded professional who enjoys complexity and thrives in a collaborative, high-performing environment. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in FP&A, financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting with a strong commercial impact.
- Experience in group consolidation
- Exceptional analytical skills, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience in preparing business cases.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities, coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial systems.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields
