Community Overview

Cunnamulla is a small community of 1,200 people located 788km west of Brisbane in the Queensland outback.

We are well connected to other towns and cities with regular plane flights and bus services as well as good sealed roads for those that prefer to drive themselves.

We have great services such as a modern state-of the-art hospital, state and Catholic schools and public library.

There are many recreational clubs and activities for all ages, including, bowls club, golf course, swimming pool and hot springs.

All of your dining out desires are covered with multiple cafes, takeaways and pubs.

Your Role

Working closely with your fellow Educators and Centre Management, you will enjoy:

Caring for, and educating children from 6 weeks to 12 years old at our Gidgee Kids Early Learning Centre in Cunnamulla.

Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community.

Documenting and sharing with families in their children's learning and development.

Contributing to the development and ongoing implementation and review of the centres Quality Improvement Plan.

Participate in maintaining a fun, engaging and safe, learning and working environment.

Assisting with the smooth day-to-day operation of the Gidgee Kids Early Learning Centre.

To be considered, you will have:

Current Queensland Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)

Prior experience in early learning and care centres

Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF
