About ABC Therapy:
ABC Therapy is a private organisation located in East Victoria Park, offering Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy services, Speech Therapy and Positive Behaviour Support services to children across the Perth Metropolitan area. Being a predominantly mobile therapy service, therapy sessions are primarily completed within the child’s natural environment, being the home, school, and/or community. Clinic, group and 1:1 session options are available.
At ABC Therapy, we are committed to supporting you to develop your skills and follow your passions by tailoring a caseload towards your area of interest. Through regular supervision we spend time learning about your goals and ensure you are provided with the right support to work towards developing these skills through internal support and external PD's.
About the Role:
The successful candidate would be required to:
- Complete comprehensive assessments to ECI and school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans working within a family-centred approach
- Assess and prescribe adaptive and therapeutic equipment to support children with maintaining/increasing independence and supporting quality of life
- Organise, plan, and run both individual and group therapy sessions
- Write individual funding applications and reports to support the child’s needs within the guidelines of the organisation and relevant funding bodies
- Ensure relevant reports are completed in a timely manner
About you:
Qualifications you will be required to bring to the role:
- A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current SPA registration
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last 6 months
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Current C Class Drivers Licence and suitable vehicle
- Current Frist Aid
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module
- NDIS Worker Screening check
Additional skills to bring to the role:
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Well-organised with effective time management skills
- Experience working with children with a disability and their families highly desirable
This role would be offered to the suitable candidate on a part-time or full-time basis.
