Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruitment Consultant) – Solar Solutions

Salary: $80,000 - $ 85,000 per year
Think Renewable is seeking a driven and organised Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our national growth by attracting top talent across our solar and battery teams. This is a full-time position, perfect for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for people, and a keen interest in the renewable energy sector. You’ll collaborate with the management and candidates to deliver an efficient and values-driven recruitment experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Recruitment Operations:
Manage end-to-end recruitment across sales, operations, admin, and field roles
Collaborate with the management to scope roles and define hiring needs
Maintain and optimise our recruitment process, including screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding
Use ATS (e.g. Employment Hero) to track applicants and maintain accurate records
Report on recruitment KPIs such as time-to-hire, quality of hire, and candidate satisfaction
Ensure hiring practices are compliant with workplace laws and internal policies
Talent Sourcing & Engagement:
Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, and industry networks
Build a strong pipeline of solar and renewable energy talent
Maintain candidates’ database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
Write and post compelling job ads tailored to each position and audience
Represent Think Renewable at industry events and careers expos
Promote our EVP and culture through creative content and candidate touchpoints
Candidate & Stakeholder Experience:
Conduct pre-screening calls and behavioural interviews
Complete background checks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Provide timely and constructive feedback to all candidates
Deliver an outstanding candidate journey aligned with our company values
Work closely with HR and team leads to ensure smooth onboarding
Assist with performance reviews and retention strategies for new hires
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 1 year’s experience in recruitment, HR, or talent acquisition
Relevant tertiary qualification
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence using recruitment platforms and sourcing tools
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Knowledge of or interest in the solar/renewable energy sector is a bonus
A proactive, people-first mindset with a focus on quality and consistency
