About the Role

As the Assessment Coordinator – Engineering, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a nationally recognised assessment program. You will assist with day-to-day assessment operations, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to quality assurance and process improvements. This is a coordination role that offers exposure to compliance, operational delivery, stakeholder engagement, and project-based initiatives.

You do not need an engineering degree or experience to succeed in this role.

The Assessment Coordinator will be responsible for:

1. End-to-End Program Management:

Coordinating the complete lifecycle of assessments, including timelines, processes, communications, documentation, analysis, and reporting, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ensure efficient and effective delivery of the assessment program, adhering to statutory engineer assessment schemes across Australia. Coordinate and provide administrative support related to the program.

2. Quality Assurance and Improvement:

Contribute to enhancing the quality and efficiency of the engineering assessment program, driving continuous improvements to meet strategic objectives.

Collaborating with the assessment committee to ensure alignment with quality assurance standards and strategic goals.

Identifying, monitoring, reporting and in conjunction with the Senior Coordinator, ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements.

3. Process Enhancement and System Development:

Contribute to the development, implementation, and review processes and systems to optimise program delivery and enhance overall member experience.

Contributing to the growth and transformation projects aimed at improving the scalability and effectiveness of the assessment program.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

Coordinate and provide administrative support to the Assessment Committee including writing, distributing minutes, and writing reports.

Collaborate with internal teams, including Membership, Communications and Marketing, and CPD, to promote and deliver the assessment program effectively.

5. Outreach and Presentations

Assist with the coordination and delivery of webinars, presentations, and information sessions for applicants and stakeholders.

Support logistics and presentation materials for internal and external events.

Participate in occasional intrastate or interstate travel to support presentations or events as needed.

Key Selection Criteria

Engineering qualifications are not a requirement.

We are seeking an Assessment Coordinator with contemporary capability and experience who has:

1. Demonstrated Understanding of Quality and Compliance:

Proven experience in applying quality and compliance standards and the ability to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.

2. Excellent Planning, Organisational, and Time Management Skills:

Ability to effectively plan, organise, and manage priorities, including handling tight deadlines and competing demands.

3. Strong Analytical Skills:

Proficiency in analysing complex information with attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to collect and assess relevant data to develop solution options and drive improvements.

4. Excellent Writing Skills:

Demonstrated ability to prepare documents that convey complex compliance and operational concepts clearly and concisely, tailored to the audience and purpose.

5. Effective Interpersonal Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster productive relationships with stakeholders.

Diplomatic approach to resolving conflicts and maintaining effective working relationships.

Actively seek stakeholder feedback for continual improvement and growth

6. Initiative and Adaptability:

Proven ability to take initiative, adapt to change, and work independently or as part of a team with a willingness to seek clarity, escalate issues when necessary, and drive continuous improvement.

7. Collaborative Approach:

Ability to work collaboratively across various departments within Professionals Australia and with external stakeholders.

8. Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparing reports and presentations for senior management.

Presentation skills are desirable, or a willingness to develop and deliver presentations in a professional setting.

9. Computer Proficiency:

Sound computer skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
