We are a fast‑growing supplier of jewellery‑making tools, findings and precious‑metal components. We operate a busy retail store and online shopify store. With an inventory of 8,000+ SKUs and an in‑house team of 15–20 staff, we pride ourselves on prompt customer service, same‑day dispatch and a collaborative, can‑do culture.

Key Responsibilities

Typical Tasks

Payroll (Fortnightly)
• Prepare and submit payroll for up to 20 staff in Xero, including overtime, leave, superannuation STP reporting.

Bank Reconciliation
• Daily bank, PayPal and Shopify Payments reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve variances or unmatched transactions promptly.

Accounts Payable
• Enter supplier invoices
• Schedule and process payments; monitor early‑payment discounts.

Accounts Receivable
• Monitor aged receivables; send courteous follow‑ups and escalate where required.
• Apply customer payments from EFT, PayPal, Shopify to the correct invoices.

Month‑End & Compliance
• Assist external accountant with BAS/GST/VAT and year‑end.

General Office Support
• Answer overflow phone calls and emails during peak periods.
• Assist with ad‑hoc admin projects (e.g. courier labels, discounts, etc).

What You’ll Bring

3 + years hands‑on bookkeeping experience in Xero (payroll, bank feeds, multi‑currency, fixed assets).

Exposure to Shopify or another e‑commerce platform (Shopify accounting apps, gift‑card & payout flow, refunds).

Solid understanding of Australian / NZ payroll legislation and GST.

Ability to read and interpret aged receivable / payable and cash‑flow reports.

High accuracy and attention to detail – you’ll be working solo.

Confident communicator who is happy to pick up the phone to suppliers or customers.

Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups).

Desirable: experience with inventory‑heavy businesses or light manufacturing.
