MacKillop Catholic College, a master-planned Prep to Year 12 College located in the growing southern corridor of Cairns, was established in 2016 with Prep-Year 3 classes. The College has developed progressively, adding additional year levels annually, and commenced secondary education in 2020 with Year 7, and the first Year 12 cohort graduating in 2025. Sport at MacKillop Catholic College, Mount Peter is a significant part of the culture of the College. Similarly, it plays an important role in how we express who we are.

The Sports Assistant is a key role in the Sport are of MacKillop Catholic College. In the first instance, the position reports to the Leader - Head of Sport.

A sports knowledge base for assisting with coaching, organising or officiating teams would be an advantage.
