Salary Range: $79,000–$118,000 + super

About the Position
This full-time, fixed-term role is ideal for a teacher who brings both technical know-how and a creative spark into the kitchen. You’ll be delivering engaging Food Technology lessons to students in Years 7-11, encouraging practical skills, nutritional awareness, and confidence in the classroom (and in life!). The role runs through to December 2025 and is an excellent opportunity to join a community that genuinely values your input and your recipes.
Skills and Responsibilities
Plan and deliver practical, hands-on Food Technology lessons for Years 7–11
Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Bring a creative and contemporary approach to food education, aligned with curriculum standards
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school life beyond the classroom
Inspire students to see the joy in cooking, creating, and learning
Requirements
Registration: Must hold or be eligible for VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration
Work Rights: Hold working rights in Australia - including Working Holiday Visa with 6 months minimum left on Visa
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
