Your part in The Wesley Hospital
The Maintenance Planners within our Hospital team are responsible for coordinating and planning maintenance tasks to ensure that equipment, facilities and infrastructure operate reliably to support patient care and hospital operations. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills to ensure that the hospital facility operates smoothly, safely and in compliance with healthcare Australian Standards.
Utilising MEX (Maintenance Management System) create, prioritise and schedule maintenance work orders based on equipment and facility needs as well as resource availability
Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities in line with organisational maintenance goals
Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors and vendors to assign resources to specific tasks.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history and compliance documentation.
Contribute to a positive team culture and a safe work environment, being mindful, respectful and kind.
What makes a difference for us?
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance, facilities or related role
Extensive knowledge of routine and scheduled maintenance processes and procedures
High level of written and oral communication, liaison, negotiation and organisational skills
Excellent understanding of relevant statutory requirements and Australian Standards
Demonstrated ability to apply workplace health and safety legislation in a workplace setting
The ability to effectively manage own time and prioritise competing priorities of work
Proven conflict management and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate computer skills and demonstrated experience in the use of maintenance and finance systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
Desirable
Previous experience using MEX (CMMS) or similar Maintenance Management System.
Trade Certificate, OR an Advanced Diploma (related to a Trade)
