Provide administrative support for the Molly Wardaguga Research Centre (MWRC) at Charles Darwin University (CDU)
About the Position
The Molly Wardaguga Research Centre (MWRC) was established to honour the work of the late Molly Wardaguga, Burarra Elder. The Centre is leading research to redesign health and support services across pre-term, child, maternal and early-years health services for First Nations communities with the aim providing ‘the best start to life’. The MWRC has the vision to improve birth outcomes for First Nations families. We aim to redesign maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) and support services, and make a positive impact on First Nations families, including a reduction in preterm birth and delivery of high quality, accessible, culturally safe maternity care across the first 2,000 days.
As an Administration Officer, you will undertake administrative and support tasks as requested by the MWRC team and will liaise closely with the Operations Manager to provide administrative support and assistance in the day-to-day operation of the team’s operations.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Completion of Certificate IV and /or equivalent relevant experience and training
- Demonstrated ability to work with First Nations colleagues and draw on your First Nations experience and knowledge to contribute to positive engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level understanding and capability of relevant university systems including human resources, finance and IT services.
- Proven experience in administration and working knowledge of office equipment and office management systems (MS Excel and MS Power Point).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and demonstrate your initiative.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable competencies
- Understanding and experience in working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations.
- Understanding and experience working within a University setting

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $73,502 to $84,914 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $85,997 to $99,349 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
