Aspirante is working with a QLD Government department to assist in their search for a UI/UX Specialist to join a high-impact Digital Enablement team working on an exciting national program of work.

The Digital Enablement team manages the delivery of digital products through a single digital platform. The business environment will change as the platform and components of the platform continue to evolve as services are built, enhanced and transitioned to it.

Your role

• Work directly with the Digital Products Manager and Product Owner, and collaborate with your UI/UX/CX peers, including other technical teammates (developers and testers)
• Conduct user research
• Undertake user interface and interaction design
• Undertake user testing/solution validation
• Assist with work with the business, stakeholders and industry to facilitate, define and capture business problems/requirements and assist in developing functional solutions, clearly understanding requirements
• Understand how what you deliver will be experienced by a large-scale partner network

About you

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in complex operational environments conducting user experience research using a variety of research methods
• Proficiency in Figma and other industry standard design tools.
• Demonstrated experience and competency in User Research, UI/Interaction Design and Visual Design
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in the application of Usability, User Centred design techniques and human factors considerations to technology and business systems design
• Demonstrated experience in collaborative design practices
• Demonstrated experience in the production of quality design artefacts.
• Demonstrated experience in wire-framing including annotations, workflows and design
• Demonstrated experience in conducting user testing and other user-facing activities to validate design, interaction; and content
• Demonstrated ability to take a holistic and strategic approach to user experience or service design
