Mechanical Project Technician at WSI

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Technician, willing to work as part of a site-based project team in delivering Australia’s first automated cargo terminal at the new Western Sydney International Airport, Badgerys Creek. You will be expected to work with world class cargo handling machines/systems in secured environments, fulfilling the following roles:

Mechanical installation of elevating transfer vehicles, stacker cranes, powered roller decks, scissor lifts and hoists as per instructions of site engineer/manager.

Reading and interpreting mechanical as-builts/shop drawings to ensure the proper installation of mechanical machines/systems.

Solid ability to set-out and follow strict site measurements from datums set by engineers.

Actively engage and support aspects of site works such as equipment installation, testing, commissioning and site co-ordination.

Key Requirements:

Qualifications: Qualified Fitter or equivalent experience with relevant equipment.

Security Clearances: Ability to pass Federal Police Checks and obtain an ASIC Card.

Testing: Must pass a Drug & Alcohol Test.

Additional Requirements:

WH&S White Card

Valid driver’s license

First-Aid license is advantageous

Physically fit for the demands of the role

EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights, and Confined Space are advantageous.
