This is a permanent appointment for 76 hours per fortnight.

Currently we are seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our team. The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates Social Work services to patients, their families and carers in the clinical specialty area of inpatient psychiatric service; using advanced Social Work clinical practice skills. Plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care. Supervises Social Work staff and support staff in the unit/clinical area, coordinates duties and manages performance. Practices as a Senior Social Worker and ensures practice is in accordance to the Australian Association of Social Workers Practice Standards and Code of Ethics and SMHS policies and guidelines

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service.
