The Role

As a Building Assessor, you will:

Conduct on-site inspections to assess building damage on insured properties

Identify insurance-related damage vs general maintenance issues

Prepare detailed, accurate scopes of work, reports, and quotes

Provide technical advice and repair recommendations

Liaise with internal teams, insurers, and clients to ensure timely claim outcomes

Assist with dispute resolution and provide ad-hoc site supervision

Travel as needed to assist with surge/CAT events

Work towards KPIs with support and mentoring from your team

What We’re Looking For

Trade or Building qualification (essential)

Experience as a Building Assessor or Insurance Estimator (highly regarded)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Customer service focused with professional presentation

Understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices

Organised and motivated with the ability to juggle competing priorities

Competent in Microsoft Office and assessment/reporting software

Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Police check or willingness to obtain one
