Are you looking for a hands-on retail role in a friendly, supportive environment? Brinlay Paints is on the lookout for a motivated and reliable Retail Assistant to join our team across our Punchbowl and Liverpool stores.

You'll work closely with the Store Manager to support our loyal trade and retail customers, helping to keep daily store operations running smoothly.

What’s Involved

Based on the candidates preferences we have multple options for hours including Casual, Part Time or Full Time, across a six-day rotating roster (Monday to Saturday). Weekend work is required, and full-time hours will be offered at times to cover staff leave.

Your Key Responsibilities

Greeting customers and helping them select the right paint and accessories

Offering advice in-store and over the phone to both retail and trade clients

Accurately preparing and tinting paint orders

Making local deliveries to trade customers (company vehicle provided)

Building strong customer relationships with a service-first attitude

Maintaining store presentation and stock organisation

Supporting the team to grow both retail and trade sales

Handling point-of-sale transactions and end-of-day procedures

What You’ll Need to Succeed

✔️ Prior retail experience (paint or hardware a bonus, but not essential)
✔️ Good communication skills and customer-first mindset
✔️ Time management skills and the ability to work independently
✔️ Physically fit – able to lift 20–30kg paint products
✔️ Willingness to work at both Punchbowl and Liverpool stores
✔️ Current driver’s licence (for customer deliveries)
