We are now seeking passionate Speech Pathologists to join our growing team in our Melbourne clinic (East Melbourne). This role offers a unique opportunity to provide speech and language therapy across clinic and community settings, supporting children and adolescents with developmental delays, autism, and other neurodivergent profiles.

What You'll Be Doing

As a registered Speech Pathologist with Nexia, your responsibilities will include:

•⁠ ⁠Assessments & Intervention: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and create individualised therapy plans for children and adolescents with developmental and neurodevelopmental challenges.

•⁠ ⁠Family & Caregiver Collaboration: Partner with families to identify needs, provide home-based strategies, and equip them with self-management tools.

•⁠ ⁠Educational Support: Work directly with educators and childcare centres to implement practical communication strategies and early intervention programs.

•⁠ ⁠Team-Based Approach: Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Allied Health Assistants to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary support.

•⁠ ⁠Reporting & Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate reports and clinical notes in line with NDIS and internal quality standards.

•⁠ ⁠Best Practice Delivery: Apply evidence-based interventions and adapt approaches to suit the unique needs of each child.

•⁠ ⁠Ethics & Compliance: Uphold ethical, professional, and legislative standards in all aspects of care.

Who We're Looking For

•⁠ ⁠Experienced or early-career Speech Pathologists (minimum 1 year preferred)

•⁠ ⁠Confident in working with children and adolescents, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or developmental delays

•⁠ ⁠Skilled in evidence-based communication strategies and interventions

•⁠ ⁠Excellent interpersonal and teamwork capabilities

•⁠ ⁠Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to client-centred care

Essential Requirements

•⁠ ⁠Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology

•⁠ ⁠SPA registration

•⁠ ⁠Current CPR and First Aid

•⁠ ⁠National Police Check, and Working With Children Check

•⁠ ⁠Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid working visa with full rights
