Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning systems used in commercial settings. As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will ensure that our clients' HVAC&R systems operate efficiently to keep our clients cool and preserve perishable goods while maintaining optimal environmental conditions.

Responsibilities:

Maintain HVAC&R systems.

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts to ensure optimal system performance.

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems, identifying faulty components and recommending necessary repairs or replacements.

Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively to prevent system downtime.

Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, performing repairs and adjustments as needed to restore system functionality.

Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing all job duties, including handling refrigerants and operating equipment safely. Keep accurate records of work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and parts inventory.

Requirements:

Cert 3 In Refrigeration and Air conditioning.

Proven experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic, with a strong understanding of refrigeration principles, components, and systems.

Occupational Licence for QBCC

ARC Certification for handling refrigerants is required.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex refrigeration systems efficiently.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to respond to service calls and emergencies.
