The Firm & The Role

Our client is a well established commercial law firm. This firm is experiencing growth and to this end the partners are looking to recruit an experienced banking & finance lawyer at the senior level.

The team acts for banks, non-bank lenders, finance companies, investors (individual and corporate), financial services companies, clients in the property and construction industries, insurance companies, clients in the agriculture, transport, health-care industries to name a few.

The partners in this team are easy to work with, outcome focused and driven by passion to get a positive outcome for their clients.

As a senior member of the team, you will be given lots of autonomy, freedom and responsibility.

The banking & finance work is broad and there will also see general commercial/corporate work.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Be an experienced banking & finance lawyer from a well respected law firm or in-house environment
• Candidates who have a broad commercial background with some banking & finance work are also encouraged to apply
• Have excellent technical and advisory skills
• Have first class communication skills and the ability to foster strong client relationships
• Have interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and self-awareness
• Be highly developed organisational skills
• Be able to mentor and supervise more junior lawyers within the team
• Be able to work with the partners to further grow the client base
• Drive and enthusiasm
