Hybrid working environment (4 days WFH)

The Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join their team in Sydney. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of enterprise cloud and on-premises environments while supporting a broad portfolio of global brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI.

Develop and enforce IAM, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access controls.

Manage encryption strategies and implement policies to safeguard data at rest and in transit.

Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to proactively address threats.

Integrate security practices into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

Lead incident response and forensic analysis during security events.

Skills and Experience

5+ years’ experience in securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).

Hands-on experience with tools and frameworks such as CSPM, CWPP, IAM, and encryption standards.

Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation within Agile/Scrum environments.

Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Strong knowledge of threat modeling, vulnerability management, and forensic analysis.

Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline (desirable)
