About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide collaborative, high level multi-disciplinary evidence-based best practice Clinical Psychological services to children and their families attending The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) Paediatric Outpatients Department, and Norfolk Island Health Services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level clinical psychology assessment, diagnosis and treatment within a multidisciplinary paediatric team, with infrequent need for direct clinical supervision. This includes outpatient services, and occasional inpatient service to children and their families.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with patients and their families, the multi-disciplinary paediatric team, the psychology team and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight for a caseload of postgraduate students on placement in line with APAC, PsyBA and University requirements, and provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced psychology practitioners where required.
