Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Accountant who will demonstrate a proactive approach in supporting the Division Manager with their portfolio of clients. This will be displayed via the efficient control of their workload, supervision and review of junior staff workflow, and exceptional communication of these to the Division Manager. The ideal candidate is confident in verbal and written client communication, sees the benefits of utilising technology effectively to streamline compliance tasks and developing of their assigned junior accounting staff member.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing & Reviewing Financial Statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
• Preparing & Reviewing Income Tax Returns, Fringe Benefits Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements;
• Produce clear & concise Workpapers;
• Assist, review & train junior staff members;
• Build & develop team and client relationships;
• Provide Financial Analysis & Insight, and
• Provide Client Advisory Services

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
• Membership of a Professional Accounting Body
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Australian accounting
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and reviewing junior staff work
• Proficient in Xero/Xero Tax/Xero Practice Manager

Desirable

• Working knowledge of FYI Docs, Active Workpapers, Office365
• At least 2 years experience in a similar role
