About the Role

As Skills and Pathways Lead, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening the learner journey across the mining and automotive sectors. This role focuses on identifying, designing, and embedding workforce pathways that support real-world outcomes, from career entry through to upskilling and reskilling in response to evolving industry needs.

Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Innovation, you’ll work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure AUSMASA’s training products, pilot programs and reform initiatives are grounded in connected, credible, and equitable learner pathways.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of workforce transitions and make a lasting impact on national skills policy and VET system reform.

Work with product teams to ensure training resources deliver end-to-end workforce outcomes

Build robust, future-focused frameworks that guide learners through meaningful career progression

Represent AUSMASA’s learner-centred approach to industry, government, and national stakeholders

About You

You bring:

Experience designing career pathways, workforce transition programs, or VET initiatives

Strong understanding of national skills policy, employment transitions, and education systems

Ability to work across stakeholders—government, industry, RTOs, and communities

Comfort using data to inform policy and pathway design

A collaborative, learner-first approach to problem solving and reform

Desirable:

Knowledge of mining and/or automotive industry workforce needs

Familiarity with Jobs and Skills Council goals and national VET reform priorities

Why Join AUSMASA?
