Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of residential and commercial property claims, from lodgement through to resolution.
Assess claim validity by reviewing policy wording, coverage, and claim documentation.
Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, builders, and restoration contractors to facilitate timely repairs and settlements.
Provide regular updates and empathetic support to clients throughout the claims lifecycle.
Negotiate liability, settlement terms, and recoveries where applicable.
Maintain accurate records in the claims management system and ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Escalate complex or high-value claims to senior management as needed.
Contribute to continuous improvement of claims handling processes.
Skills & Experience Required
2+ years' experience in general insurance claims, ideally in property, home, or strata.
Strong knowledge of insurance policies, liability principles, and recoveries.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
