Wildlife and Threatened Species Operations plays a vital role in delivering effective conservation outcomes for Queensland's native species and ecosystems and their safe interaction with the community.
You must hold a Diploma or higher qualification in zoology, botany, environmental management, natural resource management or agreed equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
The position requires specialist skills in identification, handling, measuring and data recording of native wildlife, specifically threatened species. The activities can be physically demanding and include survey and monitoring of threatened species in the field, emergency wildlife response, maintenance of field equipment and safety systems, and education and training.
