Our rapidly expanding Sunshine Coast Pump & Irrigation company is looking for a driven and experienced Bid and Tender Officer to lead and drive our continued growth. You will work closely with project managers in the pump and irrigation sectors pre-contracts teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) in our operational businesses to write the non-priced schedules for expressions of interest, requests for tenders and other bid-related responses

This role requires significant levels of content writing. Candidates must have a high level of capability in writing and editing technical content, and a strategic mindset to capturing compelling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation, submission, and management of compliant, engaging, and client-focused bid submissions, tenders, and presentations.

Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop attributes for submissions, offering guidance on the proper approach to ensure high-quality content that aligns with the required time, effort, value, complexity, and procurement method.

Contribute and lead development of winning strategies and ensuring they are clearly articulated and backed up by evidence throughout our submission.

Developing bid writing plans, coordinating with contributors to ensure timely input and completion of tender sections, and overseeing the review and feedback processes for non-priced attributes in line with best practice standards.

Compile all required documentation (schedules, price and commercial responses) to ensure complete, compliant submissions to clients.

Providing guidance to bid team contributors and submissions coordinators to drive best-practice in bidding and support capability development. This includes taking an active role in peer review.

Work closely with the WHS Manager to ensure that all proposals, contracts, and business development initiatives comply with workplace health and safety regulations and best practices.

Lead the process of securing ISO accreditation for the business, including preparing the necessary documentation, meeting all required criteria, and guiding the application process to achieve certification.

Develop and maintain the company's capability statement, ensuring it accurately reflects expertise, achievements, and service offerings to support business development and funding opportunities.

Research, prepare, and submit grant applications to secure funding opportunities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance with grant requirements.

Skills and Experience:

Strong ability to write significant volumes of content, using interviewing techniques and research to define content approach.

A track record of producing and writing multi-million dollar winning tenders and proposals (construction sector experience is highly desirable)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a strong command of MS Office tools and Adobe-Pro.

Experience with ISO certifications and related standards is highly desirable.

A creative and innovative mindset with the confidence to challenge themselves and others, contributing to the development of winning concepts and solutions.

Confident in building relationships and communicating with all levels.
