Carpenter Required

Due to growth in their construction division Morsen is currently seeking a qualified carpenter to join their established and reputable team on a full-time basis.

Morsen is a well-regarded leader in the medical-imaging industry. We work closely with major healthcare manufacturers, hospitals and clinics around Australia and New Zealand building operating rooms, MRI suites and any other facilities for installation of medical imaging equipment (CT scanners, X-Ray machines and MRI machines).

Our head office is based in Miranda in the Sutherland Shire, but each day will see you travel around Sydney. This position will also include some travel along the east coast of Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Building – Building of operating rooms, MRI suites and any other facilities for medical imaging equipment.

Structural – Installation of structural solutions to support medical equipment installations.

Management – Daily management of projects and Contractors in order to meet deadlines.

Technical - Attention to detail with accurate installation is critical. Adherence to all quality procedures (ISO 9001) and technical documentation.

Safety - Maintaining a safe work environment and following safe work practices

Customer Service - Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service with consideration for the healthcare environment

Administration – Administrative tasks such as completing Daily Site Diaries, Inductions, ordering of supplies and booking in Contractors.

Teamwork - Working efficiently alongside the Morsen team and client team to meet quality and customer commitments. We also encourage team-based ongoing professional development and technical training.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Trade qualification - Certificate III in Carpentry - Essential

Minimum 5 years' experience - Essential

Experience in the Medical Industry - Advantageous

Full Australian driver's license – Essential

Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, Forklift License - Advantageous

Ability to interpret technical manuals and plans - Essentials

Ability to work and troubleshoot independently with minimal direction

Ability to work flexible hours, including outside business hours, and undertake interstate travel as required

Flexibility to meet company opportunities

Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

Construction Induction Card (White Card) - Essential

Permanent right to work in Australia - Essential

Must be able to pass National Police Check - Essential
